QRC Karts

Northam Motorsports is proud to be bringing the QRC Karts to Australia.

What is a QRC Kart?

A QRC Kart is a type of "Sprint Kart". They are essentially a Go Kart with a Roll Cage and Wing - they look and act like Mini Sprintcars

What is the aim of QRC Karts at Northam Motorsports?

The aim is to be a cheap, fun, no politics for Speedway Racing. The same frames, engines and tyres will be required to run in the series to help keep costs at a minimum. Having the same specifications will enable everyone to race under the same budget, with all of the skill coming down to the driver, not the kart. All Kart frames & engines must have a complicance plate (available from Northam Motorsports).

What Engines do QRC Karts run?

There are only 2 engines that are allowed to be run in QRC Karts.

  • Open & Intermediate Classes
    (Currently Being Finalised)
  • Junior Class
    Yamaha 4-St 250F

Are other Sprint Karts, other than QRC allowed to race?

No, only QRC Karts

Where can they Race?

Northam Motorsports is the only location that the QRC Karts will run...... for now.

Which Tracks will they Race on?

As the removal of the top wing is very simple, the QRC Karts areable to be run on proper dirt racetracks, aswell as Speedways. All Races will feature a qualifying session, where the position will determine the starting position for the race. All starts will be Standing Starts. The Karts will run on the below tracks.

  • Speedway
  • Dirt Race Track (Top of the Property)
  • Dirt Drag Strip
